Job Summary:

As a Software Cloud Architect, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the database infrastructure for our cloud-based application. You will work closely with our development team to ensure the database is optimized for performance, reliability, and scalability. Your expertise will be crucial in managing data storage, retrieval, and ensuring the integrity and security of our data.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain database schemas, tables, and stored procedures to support application development.

- Collaborate with software developers to design and optimize database queries and improve application performance.

- Implement and manage data replication, backup, and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and availability.

- Monitor and troubleshoot database performance issues, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and potential problems.

- Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards and regulations.

- Develop and maintain documentation for database designs, configurations, and procedures.

- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on database-related changes and improvements.

- Stay updated with the latest database technologies and best practices, recommending improvements and enhancements.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Proven experience as a Software Cloud Architect, Database Administrator, or similar role.

- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.

- Experience with cloud-based databases and services such as AWS RDS, Google Cloud SQL, or Azure SQL Database.

- Knowledge of database design, normalization, and optimization techniques.

- Experience with database performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization.

- Familiarity with data modeling tools and techniques.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience working with Java-Hibernate applications.

- Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, or DynamoDB.

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and understanding their relevance in database testing environments.
