Job Summary: The role of the Training Specialist is to coordinate and deliver training for various business units and conduct day-to-day responsibilities for the department, including deploying and coordinating priorities for the Manager of Training. Conducting meetings to calendarize Training requests, assisting and proposing priorities as well coordinating curriculum development, and other special projects as required. The Trainer is responsible for data and technical systems, including administering LMS platforms for our internal and external stakeholders. He/she also supports and ensures information flow between training and other business units. The Trainer supports and assists strategic policies, procedures and responsibilities for the training department.
Job requirements for a Training Specialist include:
- Support training programs, processes and workflows for quality and effectiveness; make recommendations for improvement;
- Manage schedules, coordinate class starts at multiple locations, and manage training equipment and materials;
- Oversee technical implementation of ILT and VILT events;
- Partner with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts regarding instructional design;
- Other important duties include delivering skills training, procedural training, and non-procedural training sessions and ensuring that employees are well trained and that their training is documented;
- Conducting training by employing necessary training aids, tools and data in accordance with the company training programs, and RFT strategic imperatives;
- Ensure Learning Management Systems are being utilized to the full capacity to ensure data is secure, complete, accurate and readily available for inspections and audits;
- Assist in the design, development, delivery and support of effective training and workforce development programs;
- Special projects as needed and required for the instructional design and training department to successfully execute on all Training assigned and charged responsibilities;
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years in training roles, preferably in the Healthcare industry.
- Experience with Life Safety Solutions (preferred).
- Proven experience in developing and delivering training for process and systems transformation.
- Experience training diverse audiences, including employees, customers, and contractors, on role-specific competencies
Skills:
- Strong instructional design and facilitation skills.
- Ability to translate complex technical systems into easy-to-understand training materials.
- Track record of delivering successful remote training.
- Proficient in creating e-learning materials and using learning management systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage diverse employee groups.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple training projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with adult learning methodologies.
