Job Summary: The Accounting Manager will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls within our organization. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles. The ideal candidate will lead a team of accountants and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business decisions and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and mentor the accounting team, providing training and support as needed.
- Ensure the integrity of financial data by implementing and maintaining robust internal controls.
- Ensure proper revenue recognition across multiple revenue streams and lines of business.
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including account reconciliations and journal entries.
- Coordinate and lead audits, working closely with external auditors to ensure compliance and address any issues.
- Assist with financial analysis and reporting to senior management, highlighting key trends and insights.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and tax filings.
- Stay current with industry trends and developments in accounting standards.
- Continually evaluate and monitor for the appropriate Cost Accounting application.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Macola, Acumatica) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to meet deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
