Job Overview: As a Senior System Administrator, you will be a Technology Jack of All Trades, you will be a pivotal member of our team, responsible for a wide range of technical tasks and projects across various domains. This role requires a diverse skill set, strong problem-solving abilities, and a proactive mindset. You will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, contribute to different areas of our technology stack, and drive innovation within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support: Provide comprehensive technical support to employees, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, resolving network connectivity problems, and assisting with IT-related inquiries.
  • System Administration: Manage and maintain servers, databases, and other IT infrastructure components, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability.
  • Web Development: Develop and maintain company websites, implementing new features, optimizing performance, and ensuring compatibility across different platforms and browsers.
  • Data Management: Assist with data collection, analysis, and visualization tasks, leveraging various tools and technologies to extract insights and drive informed decision-making.
  • Cybersecurity: Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures to protect company assets, including firewall configuration, intrusion detection, and security audits.
  • Project Management: Coordinate and prioritize tasks effectively, manage project timelines and resources, and communicate progress updates to stakeholders.
  • Research and Innovation: Stay informed about emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in the industry, and explore innovative solutions to enhance company operations and productivity.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including system configurations, user manuals, and troubleshooting guides, to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong foundation in IT support, system administration, and software development.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Java, or C#.
  • Cloud administration of platforms such as Azure and AWS.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Acumatica, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite).
  • Familiarity with web development frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Django, Flask) and content management systems (e.g., WordPress, SharePoint).
  • Knowledge of database management systems (e.g., MySQL, MS SQL Server) and experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and security principles.  Cisco CLI experience a must. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to new challenges and technologies quickly.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator) are a plus.
