The Position

We are looking for an experienced professional seeking the opportunity for their work to help others. The Sr Director of Market Development will penetrate multiple markets where life safety for those needing it most can be improved by the installation of RFT equipment. 

The ideal candidate will have the drive to work in a fast-paced environment with the primary focus of building a pipeline in the hospitality, education, senior living, and government markets.  The person must foster collaborative working relationships with all departments within RFT enabling an exceptional customer experience along the way. 

RFT is working to expand its market share at the corporate level and establish relationships with partners in those markets.  In addition to the support of the VP of Channel Sales, this position will have the full support of the Executive Leadership Team and continual learning to allow personal and professional development. 

 

Success in This Role is Achieved By:

  • Penetrating the hospitality and senior living markets at the corporate level
  • Building a robust pipeline in each of these markets
  • Developing relationships with the appropriate decision makers for each market
  • Developing and nurturing relationships with Architects, Consultants, and Engineers

 

Core Responsibilities include:

  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders in each vertical
  • Increase revenue through both new and existing accounts by increasing top of funnel opportunities through new profitable relationships
  • Research new markets

 

Qualifications:

  • Drive for execution / results – ability to execute and deliver against business goals consistently driving profitability and contribution to revenue achievement
  • Excellent communications and highly developed interpersonal skills with strong ability to work collaboratively across the organization and obtain positive visibility and credibility quickly – a strong team player who contributes to overall success of the company
  • Strong relationship building skills both internally and externally and able to navigate and effectively manage his/her business successfully, understanding and respecting cultural diversity and operating successfully within that framework
  • Committed to delivering outstanding customer service delivery and supporting and driving our customers’ business success
  • Ability to nurture innovation and create an environment that encourages creativity and positive risk taking. Personally, demonstrates creativity and entrepreneurial flair
  • Ability and willingness to travel as much as needed to be effective

 

Education & Experience:

  • BA in or MBA in business, business administration, or engineering
  • 15+ years’ experience in one of the above verticals
  • Experience in software/technology sales and marketing
  • Track record of contribution to revenue growth and expanding the foot print in relevant markets
